AI advisory built on practitioner experience
Two decades inside enterprise technology sales and consulting. Twenty years working directly with large retail and consumer products organizations on the operational problems that don’t fit neatly on a slide.
Soltus Group exists because the gap between “what consultants recommend” and “what actually deploys” has gotten wider, not narrower, as AI has matured. Most AI advisory today is built on theory, demo environments, and vendor talking points. The work that ships — the work that survives contact with a real production constraint — looks different.
That’s the work we do.
What practitioner experience means
It means every recommendation has been stress-tested against an actual deployment somewhere — ours, or one we shipped, or one we watched fail in a way that taught us what the recommendation should have been.
It means the architecture diagrams we hand you are ones we’ve built. The risk frameworks come from problems we’ve personally hit and resolved. The vendor analysis distinguishes between marketing surface and what the technology actually does under load, because we’ve been on both sides of that conversation.
It means we’re not the cheapest option. We’re the option that doesn’t cost you twelve months of misplaced effort.
What we do
Enterprise AI Go-to-Market. Help technology vendors and consulting practices identify the AI plays that actually land in retail, CPG, and adjacent industries — grounded in inside-the-house perspective on how these accounts actually evaluate, procure, and deploy.
AI Agent Architecture Reviews. Evaluate proposed and deployed agent systems against sovereignty, provenance, and operational reliability standards. Catch the architecture decisions that become technical debt before they become production incidents.
Operator-Facing AI Enablement. Translate the messy reality of agentic systems into operational advantage for executives whose roles are being reshaped by AI — not eliminated, but materially redefined. The kind of training that doesn’t insult your intelligence or pretend AI is simpler than it is.
AI Infrastructure Provenance. Vendor-neutral assessment of the AI dependencies in your stack — which components serve your interests, which serve someone else’s, and which you can’t actually tell apart without looking at the contracts.
Career Management Methodology. A systems approach to professional resilience for senior operators navigating consolidation, role compression, and reverse-recruiting markets. Built from a practitioner view of what actually survives a market downturn versus what gets cut first.
How we work
Engagements are scoped to outcomes, not hours. You hire us to answer a specific question or de-risk a specific decision. We tell you what we’ll deliver, what we won’t, and what we’d need from you to be useful.
We say no to work we shouldn’t take. If the problem you’re describing isn’t one we can move the needle on, we’ll say that out loud and point you toward someone who can. Practitioner experience includes knowing the edge of your own competence.
Confidentiality is structural, not aspirational. Our infrastructure is self-hosted on hardened private infrastructure. Client materials don’t sit in third-party SaaS unless you’ve explicitly authorized that path. Our AI workflow uses stateless reasoning components with Zero Data Retention configurations where available.
We work with your existing team, not around them. We’re not interested in replacing your internal expertise. We’re interested in making it more effective, faster, against a problem set that’s evolving faster than most internal teams can track on their own.
Who this is for
Soltus is the right fit if you’re:
- A senior operator at a retail, CPG, or enterprise technology organization considering AI deployments and wanting an outside read before committing budget or political capital
- A consulting practice or technology vendor whose AI go-to-market needs sharper industry positioning
- A board, investor, or C-suite stakeholder who needs an independent assessment of an AI strategy or vendor recommendation before signing off
- A practitioner navigating career transition in a market that’s reshaping faster than most career advice acknowledges
Soltus is probably not the right fit if you’re:
- Looking for the cheapest hourly rate available
- Looking for someone to validate a decision you’ve already made
- Looking for AI strategy disconnected from operational reality

Conversations are free. We’d rather spend thirty minutes telling you we’re not the right firm than take a retainer for work that doesn’t serve you.
